Promotions at HFL

Following a successful first half of the year, HFL has made seven internal promotions.
Following a successful first half of the year, HFL has made seven internal promotions, effective from 1st September.
Within the Fund Accounting team, there has been three promotions alone:
Alice Meerveld
Alice has now been with the company for three-and-a-half years, and was promoted to Associate Director. Alice has led our Fund Accounting team exceptionally well, portraying outstanding leadership qualities and dedication. Alice has also led and developed strong client relationships, as well as being a positive and uplifting team member. Alice will continue to work with our Fund Accounting and Administration team, as well as expanding in broader HFL duties.
Rebecca Large
Rebecca has been promoted to Senior Manager after being with HFL for just over two years, and has been a key member within the Venture Capital Accounts management team. Rebecca has been pivotal in assisting the accounts team by taking on additional responsibilities while covering for maternity leave and has shown great team spirit throughout. Most recently, Rebecca won our Gold Reward and Recognition Award that acknowled her abilities to form great relationships within the office and with our clients.
Imogen Oldfield
Imogen, who joined HFL in January 2022, has also been promoted to Senior Manager. Imogen has been a manager for five years and took on additional responsibilities during a recent maternity leave period, helping to guide her team, including leading on several tax projects, providing additional support and people development. Imogen prides herself on both her client and team relationships building great rapport.
Operations promotions:
Chloe Dodd
Within our operations team Chloe has been promoted to Business Operations Analyst in recognition of her diverse skill set and her ability to seamlessly integrate IT support, creative tasks, and business operations. She will maintain responsibility for IT support, assisting with our social media presence and health and wellbeing initiatives, but will also have a more involved role in supporting the Head of Business Operations, particularly in areas related to cyber security. Working with our vCISO and IT MSP, her vigilance and understanding of HFL’s cyber security controls will help safeguard our business from potential threats.
Siubhan Groves
Siubhan has been promoted to Head of Business Operations. She has been a key player in streamlining our processes and driving operational excellence. Her dedication, foresight and collaboration has been instrumental in HFL’s continued success and we couldn’t be more excited to see her take on this new role.
Fund Administration promotions:
Paul Corbet
Our Fund Administration team has also seen two promotions. Paul joined HFL in 2020 as a Senior Fund Administrator and was promoted to Assistant Manager in August 2021. During Paul’s time as an Assistant Manager, he has demonstrated his strong technical skills alongside independently managing his clients and his team to a high standard. More recently, Paul has shown strength in leading his team to deliver a consistently high level of client service, and this, combined with his continued technical skills, has led to Paul’s promotion to manager.
Jessica Alderton
Jess has been with HFL since 11th September 2023. Jess took a career change from her previous management role in childcare to Fund Administration. Jess has really shone in her role and has excelled exceptionally quickly. Her current day to day tasks originally were to help support her pod with contact updates and payments etc but her daily responsibilities have evolved to Jess already involved with owning her own portfolio of clients being their key day contact and has also assisted with training any new joiners to the team as well as taking on numerous other projects.
We have also seen one move within the teams.
Serena Queripel
As we continue to focus on integrating technology and systems throughout the business, we are delighted that Serena will be taking on the role of Head of Business Change, in addition to continuing with her client facing responsibilities. This role is extremely well suited to Serena’s skill set and in-depth knowledge of the whole business and its operations and follows on from Serena’s work enhancing the operations of the Fund Administration team. Serena will work alongside our Head of Strategic Technology and Change, and our department leads, to implement changes in technology and procedure for the benefit of clients and staff alike.
