Our Team

Brad is a Manager in the VC fund accounting team. He works closely with clients and his team to produce high quality financial reporting and other performance metrics across a large variety of different Funds as well as being a key point of contact.

Sintija administers Trusts and Companies and has a variety of tasks based on different structures and requirements. She is always happy to assist other team members with their tasks.

Kristy co-leads our busy fund administration team, working with venture capital fund clients that range from tech start-ups to pre-IPO stage organisations. Whilst no two days are the same, she is also focused on making HFL the leading VC firm in Guernsey.

Emma as compliance officer, MLCO, and MLRO, helps to ensure that HFL meets its legal and regulatory obligations by advising all the areas of the business on matters of regulatory risk. Emma adopts a pragmatic approach and enjoys finding creative, yet compliant, solutions to suit the firm and its clients.

Millie is responsible for preparing financial reporting along with responding with ADHOC requests from our clients. Millie also helps to train the new team members and works hard to meet the daily deadlines.

Matt is the Managing Director of HFL. Matt steers the ship, leading the business and driving our strategy forward. He is also actively involved with our clients, providing guidance and support as well as sitting on several client boards.

Siubhan oversees the operational activities of the business. She is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company, maintaining systems, ensuring information and data security and reliability. Siubhan also leads on projects for HFL.

Holly is responsible for the day to day administration within the fund administration team, and acts as the first point of contact for clients.

Richard is HFL’s independent Non-Executive Director. He has been on the board of HFL Limited for over 20 years and as the founder of a leading offshore legal practice, he brings a wealth of experience to team.

Monica is a Manager in the venture capital fund accounting team. She works closely with HFL’s VC clients on day-to-day business, ensuring high quality financial reporting is provided to our clients.

As the Brand and Marketing Manager at HFL, Charlotte is responsible for driving brand strategy and marketing initiatives to raise awareness of the company and fuel growth in an increasingly competitive market. Charlotte works closely with external agencies to create marketing campaigns that adhere to brand guidelines and support the company's goals.

Carla is responsible for managing the administration of Trusts and Companies, which involves overseeing the day-to-day management of assets. With a strong focus on detail and client service, Carla helps to ensure that Trusts and Companies are administered in a smooth and efficient manner to achieve their intended purpose

Laura is a Manager for the Business Support team at HFL and is responsible for risk assessing both fund and fiduciary clients whilst helping to manage the team’s workloads. Laura is also actively involved in improving HFL’s onboarding procedures and works closely with the Compliance team to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

James is an Executive Director at HFL responsible for both the finance function and the Business Development Strategy of both the Trust and Fund Administration sides of the business.

Emma is responsible for the timely preparation of the Fiduciary client accounts within the designated deadlines.

Marina is an Executive Director at HFL and leverages her wealth of experience in the private client industry to lead our private client administration and accounting teams. Marina also oversees our compliance and business support teams.

Serena works alongside our Head of Strategic Technology and Change, and our department leads, to implement changes in technology and procedure for the benefit of clients and staff. In addition, she also retains client facing responsibilities, consulting internally and with clients to provide solutions to complex matters.

Adelaide supports the organisations HR functions and is responsible for HFL’s recruitment. She acts as a first point of contact for employees and a friendly welcoming face for new employees.

As HFL’s Senior People and Culture Manager, Petra leads our people strategy, supporting every stage of the employee journey from recruitment and onboarding to development and wellbeing. Working closely with managers across the business, Petra ensures a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture where everyone can thrive. She’s known for driving cultural integration, mentoring, and aligning global HR initiatives with local regulatory needs. Petra is passionate about building engaged, high-performing workplaces through thoughtful people strategies.

Alice assists with leading the HFL’s venture capital fund accounting team. She is a Director on several client boards and works closely with our VC clients on day-to-day business.

Abbie is an Executive Director of HFL Limited; she is Head of People and Operations as well as working closely with our Fund clients and sitting on several of fund client boards.

Natalie is a compliance assistant manager and is involved with testing internal procedures and processes, to ensure that the company is compliant with its own policies and legislation.

Hollie is a senior administrator within the fund administration team, Hollie provides day to day administration to a number of UK based Venture Capital fund structures and holds a high level of knowledge in terms of back office data input and collation.

Lawrence is a Business Support Assistant Manager at HFL. Lawrence’s primary focus in his role is onboarding investors for HFL’s Fund and Trust clients, which involves collating the relevant customer due diligence, performing screening, and conducting risk assessments.

Lynn is responsible for efficient client services within the fiduciary team, responding quickly to our clients’ day-to-day requests and meeting their daily deadlines. She also manages the HFL trust team’s workload and ad hoc projects.

Chloe is an accountant within the fund accounts team, responsible for the initial preparation of financial reporting and responding to ad-hoc queries for our clients.

Holly is a key point of contact for several VC clients on the accounting side, providing support for quarterly reporting and ad-hoc queries.

Alanna is an Assistant Manager at HFL. She works on HFL’s Venture Capital clients, preparing the documents for financial reporting each quarter and ensuring high quality information is provided to our clients.

Nigel is our Non-Executive Chairman and Founder. He has been involved in the business and its forerunner since 1984 and was Managing Director until 2018. Nigel brings over four decades of experience in the private wealth sector.

Michelle is HFL’s Senior Office Administrator and is usually the first person our clients and intermediaries meet when they visit our office. Michelle liaises with many of our suppliers and looks after the whole HFL team.

As a senior manager in our fiduciary team, Vanessa’s duties include administering a portfolio of clients, authorising transactions and supporting and training her team of three whilst also working on special projects for HFL.

Rebecca is a Fund Accounting Senior Manager focused on our venture capital clients. She is on hand to assist HFL’s clients and she oversees the fund accounting team, reviewing management accounts and investment schedules.

Alex is an Assistant Manager within the Fund Admin team; Alex leads on a variety of clients and third parties to ensure their smooth day-to-day running.

Max is responsible for driving our technology strategy, working closely with our Head of Business Change. Max identifies innovative technology solutions to drive efficiencies and ensure that HFL is able to offer a best-in-class service for our clients.

Matt is a Fund Administrator in the Fund Administration team at HFL, he is responsible for handling the operational efficiency of a fund by managing tasks such as reporting, compliance, payment, and investor services.

Jamie is responsible for key client services within the Fund Accounting team, solving ad-hoc requests and queries, as well as ensuring high quality financial reporting is provided to our clients. He also looks after the exam pathways for trainees in HFL’s accounts team.

Claire is HFL's Finance Operations Executive and is responsible for keeping the company's day to day finances running smoothly. With a sharp eye for detail and a calm and collected approach, Claire ensures our finances stay on track.

Charlotte is a Senior Administrator within the Fund Admin team, Charlotte liaises directly with a large number of investment advisors, lawyers and founders to process a high level of fund investments within the venture capital space, seeing the investments through from initial legal review to funding.

Imogen is a Senior Manager in our venture capital team. She works closely with HFL’s clients, reviewing management accounts and investment schedules to ensure they have the information they need to respond quickly to investment opportunities.

Megan leads HFL’s venture capital fund accounting team. She is a Director on several client boards and works closely with our VC clients on day-to-day business as well as setting up new fund structures.
