Three Promotions in Fund Administration, Business Support and Compliance

14 August 2022

Congratulations to Mattias, Joe and Georgia on their well-deserved promotions. They have all added a huge amount of value to the business in a short period of time, and I am excited to see what the future has in store for them all.

HFL has promoted three employees across their fund administration, business support and compliance teams.

Georgia Archer, promoted to Senior Business Analyst, has been with the company for only six months.

Georgia will remain within the business support team, conducting risk assessments and working closely with the fund administration team to ensure new investors are onboarded swiftly and receive first-class service from HFL.

Having worked in the finance industry for over eight years, Georgia brings considerable experience to her new role. Her impressive knowledge of onboarding clients and her broad understanding of complex structures will benefit the team. In addition, completing an Advanced Certificate in AML and Terrorist Financing will prepare Georgia for the next phase in her career.

Joe Le Roux has been promoted to Assistant Manager after fourteen months at HFL. Joe is involved with investment administration and relationship management with a key client based in London.

Having worked in fund administration in Guernsey since 2015, Joe’s previous experience enabled him to assist with the day-to-day administration of numerous investments held by HFL-administered fund structures.

In his new role, Joe will engage in and oversee the completion of multiple venture capital-based investments within various fund structures. He is currently completing his ICSA Level 4.

The third promotion is Mattias Carre, now an Assistant Manager in the compliance team after ten months at HFL.

In Mattias’ previous role, he provided day-to-day compliance administration support and monitored services primarily to licensed investment and fiduciary businesses.

Mattias will take on more responsibility for all functions of the compliance team, working closely with HFL’s senior team.

Mattias will also implement new processes and efficiencies to current workflows, and his knowledge of corporate governance, risk and compliance requirements is impressive. He recently completed the ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance and also holds the STEP Diploma.

Matt Westgarth-Smith, Managing Director, commented: ‘We are extremely proud of Matt, Joe and Georgia and have been impressed with their strong work ethic, capability and knowledge. They have all added a huge amount of value to the business in a short period of time, and I am excited to see what the future has in store for them all.’
